Description
Key Features:
- Built-In Adjustable Pipe: This one-part component comes equipped with a short adjustable pipe at the bottom (male end). The adjustable end is designed to seamlessly fit into an existing pipe, providing you with up to 200mm of adjustment flexibility. This design allows for precise customization while ensuring a polished, joint-minimized appearance.
- Wide Application: Our Stove Offset is suitable for use with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances that operate at temperatures of up to 600°C. It is the ideal choice as a connecting pipe between your heating appliance and the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System. However, please note that it should not be used for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.
- Robust Construction: Crafted from high-quality zero-carbon steel and coated with a durable matte black powder vitreous enamel finish, the Stove Offset is designed to withstand the demands of gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances. This construction ensures longevity and consistent performance.
Installation Guidelines:
- To maintain safety standards, avoid installing a piece of VIT-Smooth 100mm within 375mm of combustible materials such as wood or plaster boards.
- During installation, ensure that the VIT-Smooth is positioned correctly, with the smaller diameter pointing downward. This configuration keeps all condensates within the flue system, preventing any external leakage.
- VIT-Smooth features a friction-fit joint that typically does not require additional sealing. However, for enhanced security, you have the option to apply a jointing compound, such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant, at each joint. This additional step ensures no condensate escapes, preserving the pipe’s appearance.
- If cutting is necessary during installation, be cautious to cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time.
- Prior to installation, always prioritize safety by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintenance:
To maintain the efficiency and safety of your flue system, it’s essential to make provisions for inspecting and cleaning the chimney. This is especially critical for solid fuel applications. Consider installing VIT-Smooth with access doors at changes of direction to facilitate this process. For solid fuel appliances, it’s advisable to sweep and maintain the chimney as frequently as necessary, with a minimum of once a year.
Elevate your flue system’s performance and aesthetics with the Stove Offset featuring an adjustable 100mm offset pipe. With its adjustable design, robust construction, and adherence to safety guidelines, this product offers the ideal solution for offsetting while minimizing joints and maximizing efficiency.
