Overview
The MF20 MI-FLEX Accessories range includes a variety of installation fittings, all expertly designed for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. When combined, these accessories form a complete, high-performance chimney system.
General Application
These items are intended for use with MI-FLEX multi-fuel flexible flue liners. In line with Building Regulations Document J, flexible flue liners must be fully enclosed within a masonry chimney. Non-masonry enclosures, such as timber or plasterboard boxing-in, are not acceptable. This adaptor and related components are suitable for appliances operating at temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation), making them ideal for use with wood (less than 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil.
Bottom Fixings
Bottom fixings are essential for transitioning from the connecting flue system to the flexible flue liner. Connections to the flex should be made within the existing masonry chimney to ensure no flex is visible. Secure the bottom fixing to the connecting flue below and the flexible flue liner above to maintain a gas-tight seal, using fire cement, ceramic rope tape, or high-temperature sealant as needed.
