Firestop Plate Ø 150 – Essential Fire Safety for Chimney Floor Penetrations
£ 34,00
Description
The Firestop Plate Ø 150 is a critical safety component designed for chimneys that pass through floors, such as when a chimney needs to extend from the ground floor through to the first floor. This steel plate ensures that the chimney maintains a safe distance from adjacent flammable materials, in strict compliance with fire and building regulations.
- Fire and Building Regulation Compliance: The Firestop Plate is engineered to maintain the required distance between the chimney flue and nearby combustible materials, ensuring compliance with fire and building codes.
- Dual Plate Requirement: A firestop plate must be installed at both the top and bottom of the floor penetration to provide maximum safety.
- Ventilated vs. Non-Ventilated Options: A non-ventilated Firestop Plate is suitable for gas or oil installations (T200). For solid fuel installations (T600), ventilated plates must be used to ensure proper ventilation and safety.
- Safe Distance Maintenance: All KC Firestop Plates are preset to maintain a 60mm distance from combustibles, providing a reliable safety buffer.
Construction Details:
- Material: Outer skin made from 304-grade stainless steel, with an inner skin of 316-grade stainless steel, both 0.4mm thick.
- Insulation: Compressed rock wool with a density of 128kg/m³, providing robust thermal insulation.
- Fully Welded: Ensures maximum durability and integrity of the firestop plate.
Approvals:
- HETAS-Approved: Certified for safety and compliance.
- UKCA-Marked: Meets the stringent UK and European safety standards.
- Designation Number: EN1856-1 T600 N1 W V2 L50040 G60 for solid fuels, and EN1856-1 T200 P1 W V2 L50040 O20 for gas/oil appliances.
Installation Guidelines:
- Secure Installation: Use a locking band to secure KC Twin Wall Insulated Chimney parts together.
- Maintain Distance: Ensure a 60mm distance from the outside of the flue to any combustible material (e.g., wood, plasterboard).
