Description
The top insert sleeve slides inside the flexible chimney liner at the top of the installation and is used together in conjunction with the Top Plate and Top Clamp, this will support the weight of the liner at the top of the stack without damaging the integrity of the flue liner.
Overview
MF20 MI-FLEX accessories is a family of installation fitting that have been perfectly designed for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. When fitted in conjunction together it will make a full system chimney.
General Application
Theses items are to used in conjunction with MI-FLEX Multi fuel flexible flue liner. Building Regulations Document J requires that a flexible flue liner can only be installed completely enclosed inside a masonry chimney. A non masonry enclosure such as timber or plasterboard boxing in is not acceptable. All items are suitable for use on appliances up to 600°C (T600 designation). Suitable for use on Wood <20% moisture, Smokeless coal, Gas and oil.
Top Fixings
Top Fixings are used to support the vertical weight (dead weight) of the flue liner. Under all circumstances, the chimney stack must be fully weather proofed prior to the installation, the chimney structure must be of sound construction, all chimney pots should be in a good condition with out cracking and the appropriate flaunching must be made at the top of the stack.
